Bad blogger!!!

Where to begin???

Shane left for work Monday and I have yet to sleep in my bed alone. That sounds bad but between the top molars finally coming through, the bottom ones starting, and as I found out today, another ear infection; Grayson has needed the company so that we both got sleep over the past week. Needless to say I am exhausted and have been losing it a bit so picture taking and blogging are the furthest thing from my mind. I am hoping the medicine and some sleep will help us both and I can get back on track.

PS: Dylan is going to be a big brother, which I think I mentioned before, but Heather is having a little girl!!!! YIPEE!!!!

Can you say Mini-me?

My boys!!! Here they are in a picture from Saturday.

With the exception of Grayson having my eye and hair colour..I was that light until I was around 12, he can't be more Shane junior if we tried!!! OK, well maybe he has more my nose for right now and perhaps even my lips, but there is no mistaking where he came from.

Shane was only home for a short time this turn around and I am sad. I was sitting at the dinner table with Grayson tonight and really felt the short, short time he was home. He is starting at a new site now, with his own company, so he is on a different shift. These are the things we have to live with for the time being whether I like it or not. He isn't gone too long this time, but after he is home, he is gone until the Thursday before Christmas...which is a longish time. He just left today but I miss him like crazy already.

Yep I'm in a bit of a sappy mood right now. This was really just about the picture.

The difference of 1 Year

So here is Grayson last November in his highchair...

And here is Grayson a couple of days ago in the same highchair.

Note that where his knees are now is where his feet were last year. OK so maybe I just need his real change put into perspective for me sometimes. Being with the kid 24/7 I guess I don't exactly realize how much he has grown and changed, sometimes I still see that little baby I had a year ago. Or maybe I just want to see that and not completely accept how fast he has become a little boy!!!

And yes Shane thinks I'm crazy about this stuff too.

The face of needing a diaper change.

So this may be cruel but I couldn't help myself!! It is just too apparent what was going on with Grayson that I had to take a picture. That and I thought the morning sun etc looked neat. Shane of course thinks I am psychotic!!!

Do you think he needed a new diaper after this? Yep!!!

Sad day!!

Heather, Dylan and family left today. They are on the move to their new home in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be strange without them at our playdates but these things happen when families are getting settled. We got to see Dylan yesterday at Gymboree, but due to unforeseen circumstances we were not able to meet up with Heather after nap time like the plan was. We will just have to wait until Christmas to get our fix of the bubbly duo. Here are pics from Dylan last Gymboree yesterday, it was sad when Terry sang the bubble song and did special good-bye bubbles for Dylan, Joanne and I were a little teary eyed.

Well kids we will miss you tons and wish you didn't have to leave. The 3 musketeers are now 2, and sad about the news. Take care and we will see you in a month.

To keep my promise...

Nothing too exciting...just some new pictures as I promised. We went to adventure zone and here are Grayson and Hudson playing in the car.

Then just Grayosn at home. I thought he looked very cute in his little brown cords, but as I said getting a picture of him lately is not that easy.

Today's Pictures

So here they are some more new pictures. Yes I like playing with the new camera and will try, as requested, to add pictures if not daily, every other day.

Here is Grayson giving Road Kitty kisses. He loves to lay on her and hug and kiss her. Brain on the other hand stays as far away as possible.

This one is just one I took of him coming around the corner. He is not the camera hog he used to be so trying to get him to sit and look, let alone smile for the camera is a lot harder these days.

Breakthrough

So for the first time tonight Hudson and Grayson actually played together..and we could tell they were doing it. As you can see in the 2 pictures below they are in fact interacting with each other. They are working together to get all the pieces on the toy. It was very cool.

They were also playing a type of hide and seek around the kitchen table. Which before tonight they seemed to want to do together but always did independently.

Here we put them on the chair together to try and read a book, it was not the success we had hoped for.

After dinner we all went to Heather and Dylan's going away party. They leave for Atlanta on Thursday and we will miss them.

Here are Joanne and I and the 3 boys. It will be very strange without Dylan around all the time. We will feel like a bike without a tire without he and Heather at our playdates and in Gymboree.

And of course Grayson in all his glory. Running around and playing and putting on a show for everyone. Needless to say he wasn't too easy to get to bed tonight...well harder than usual as most of you know the kid thinks sleep sucks and tries to avoid it like the plague.

Oh yeah, and I love the new camera!!!

Bit the Bullet

OK so I finally went out and bought a new camera. This one was twice the cost of the old one, but it has an optical zoom and a better flash. Here are the test pics I did of Grayson when we got home today.

Now I just need to save up for a big memory card. The internal memory of this camera is way less than the old one. But I can't complain for the better pictures. That and the nice gentleman at Future Shop gave me the camera for the sale price even though the sale ended Thursday.

More Halloween

Here are a few more photos from last night. Hudson in his Tiger costume and a few more of our little Elephant man. These were sent to me from Joanne. As you can see the camera is better, the pictures are brighter. But even still Grayson was hard to get a good picture of as he really didn't like the head being on him. It was very constricting.
